Equipment at the workplace

Grand Ducal Regulation of 4 November 1994

The employer must analyse the workplaces and assess the conditions of safety which they provide for the workers concerned, notably in respect of potential risks to eyesight, physical problems and mental stress. He must take suitable measures to remedy these problems.

Information and training of workers about the workplace are stipulated in the Grand Ducal Regulation in the same way as breaks and changes of activity to reduce the workload at a computer screen.

To guarantee protection of the sight and eyes of the worker, provision is made for an eyesight examination to be attended before the job is taken up and then at regular intervals or when eyesight difficulties occur. For further details of the minimum requirements defined in the Grand Ducal Regulation of 4 November, please consult the document at www.legilux.public.lu.
